To preserve, protect and properly maintain the Historic Olmsted Trail System, the Parklands and other open spaces in Palos Verdes Estates for the use, pleasure and benefit of all residents.
Improve the habitat and beauty of our Parklands, by replacing invasive and flammable vegetation with more native drought tolerant and fire retardant plants, and establishing tree inventory and planting programs.
Provide better pedestrian connections using trails and Parklands between PVE schools (and disaster preparedness centers), neighborhoods, commercial areas, athletic fields, community facilities and the ocean.
Improve safety of our trails and Paths through better maintenance and having a trail system that provides an alternative to using some of congested and dangerous streets in PVE.
Create more sustainable trails, which will be less costly to maintain and that will be more environmentally friendly.
Document and recognize PVE's special heritage involving a unique design created by the Olmsted Brothers, particularly incorporating parklands and paths into a unique trail system.
Increase recreational and educational opportunities that will improve the health and enjoyment of residents with a trail system that is more accessible.
